Mind your own business...

I am so pissed! Logan has been asking for donuts on the way to school and there is a shop right by the daycare, well I stopped there yesterday and again today. When I get there I leave the car running, lock the car and take the spare set of keys in. I know it's not the safest thing but I watch them the whole time and I don't go in until there are no customers in line so I know I won't have to wait. Well I was getting out of the car and walking in the place and a mother from the daycare who had just pulled up with her 3 or 4 year old says that's not very safe. I just turned around and said it is locked. She says well it is still against the law, I said uh ok...(Because I was in hurry and wanted to say unkind things to her, but it is Christmas!) First of all it is not like I am leaving them with the car off and it unlocked to go shopping for hours. I am literally running in for at the most 5 minutes and I watch the car the whole time. I would like her to try it with 2 kids and them come talk to me! This "advice" coming from the same lady whose kids teeth look horrible because he has sucked on a pacifier non stop since birth! UGH, I am just so pissed that she didn't mind her own business! And talked to me like she was so high and mighty and never did anything wrong in her life!

It sure would be a whole lot easier if there were drive through donut shops in town!!!

Keep Tabs on Me...

I am starting a 6 week work out program starting January 2nd. I expect everyone that reads this to keep me honest! I really want to lose the weight I have put on, or not lost after having Cole. I want to get back into my size 10s! I want to look like a true MILF again. I want to be encouraged by all that reads and told to keep it up!

I will keep you updated as to my successes! I hope that I can keep the motivation needed to achieve my goal.

6 weeks in the whole scheme of things is such a short time. I should be able to do it... RIGHT?!?!

Somebody Said...

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby... somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, normal is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct... somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.

Somebody said being a mother is boring... somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.

Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good"... somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices... somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbor's kitchen window.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother... somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math.

Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first... somebody doesn't have five children.

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books... somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery... somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten... or on a plane headed for military "boot camp."

Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back... somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies to sell cookies.

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married... somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home... somebody has never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows your love her, so you don't need to call her... somebody isn't a mother.

Shocker!

I am at another computer today so when I typed my blog address in the top I forgot to add the k. WOW! Whoever Adrianne is, she is crazy and LOVES to cuss. I must always remember that my address is adriannek...

A very uneventful weekend for us. Friday night Travis went to a get together with some men from the Sunday schools class. They just drank beer and hung out. Travis had to come home early though because he had to work on Saturday. So on Saturday the boys and I just hung out. We went to the Dollar Tree to buy Logan a car because he is doing much better with potty training. Then we went to Chick-Fil-A and back home to play. And when Travis got home the grocery store.

Sunday was church and laundry. Pretty exciting huh.

I really can't believe that Christmas is less than a week away. I don't know why but it just doesn't feel like Christmas. Maybe it is because I know this Christmas will be different. Not in a bad way, just different. When you are so used to having Christmas one way, it is so hard to change. Maybe next year we can have Christmas at our house and start a new tradition! That would be great!

TGIF!

Hurray for Friday... No big plans this weekend. Travis works tomorrow so I will stay home and play mommy!

I am calling someone about cleaning our house once a month. I talked to her two days ago and I think we are going to try it. She just cleans to make money to put her 3 kids in mother's day out. She says it takes her 6 hours to completely clean a house. She is going to charge around $50, she said we could set the price. I am going to have to talk to her a little more, and explain that she will be on a monthly basis depending on our financial situation. I really hope it works out, that would be one less thing I would have to worry about!

Inching Closer to Christmas...

Well as I have posted before we are going to California for Christmas. I really wish we could just stay home and everyone came to us, but that isn't going to happen. I don't know when I am going to get the suitcases packed. Travis and I work all day and at night there just isn't anytime. Our flight leaves the morning of the 24th... I guess I will just have to stay up late on the 23rd... YUCK!

I am so dreading the flight. Logan will have a seat, doesn't mean he will actually stay in it, and we didn't buy a seat for Cole so we will play pass the baby! Oh what fun! This child HATES sitting in one spot for a long time. We will need lots of prayers for that plane ride.

One exciting thing, I have a friend who lives in the same town as Travis' folks and every time I visit them I see her. She just had a baby in August and I can't wait to see her. She also just redid her house to make room for baby July! I want to see that as well. Of course I can't wait to see how big Dinah has gotten. She turned 3 in September.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

It is my favorite day of the whole year. I know conceited, but it is! I have always loved my birthday and when I was younger I would count months and then the days until this day. Not that anything amazing ever happened, I think I just like the little extra attention. I am now 27! Wow that is so close to 30 I can almost taste it!

And I offiically have a 3 year old! Logan's birthday was Sunday but his party was Saturday. We have 5 kids total and everyone seemed to have a great time. Logan got way too much stuff. But hey you are only 3 once!

I got my well deserved day off yesterday, but I don't feel like I got anything accomplished. Nothing at home anyway. I took Logan to the dr for his 3 year check up and then took him to school. I then went to the DMV because my license expires today, the I had a a dentist appointment at 1. Well I had my first cavity. BOO HOO... Happy Birthday to me, a drill in the tooth as a present. I guess that is pretty good since I haven't been to the dentist in 5 years and have had 2 children!

Everything with MIL went well. To me she is looking better. She has decided to give his treatment till February and if it doesn't work she will go and stay with Travis' sister in NY and do treatment there. I found out that it is actually breast cancer of the lungs. So it is the same cancer she had in 97 it is just in her lungs now. She still needs lots of prayers.

Travis' present came yesterday, I loved it and I hope he does. I will let you know what it is after Christmas because I know sometimes he reads this and I don't want to spoil it!

Let's Talk about the WEATHER

Whew. I thought I lived in Texas, but boy I could be wrong. Yesterday I got to leave work at 1:30 because we closed for the day. It was sleeting like crazy and the roads were getting BAD! The car was totally iced over which made it oh so fun driving home, and remember I still am wearing my glasses (check out post below)... Today we don't open till noon, but me being the eager beaver got here a little after 11. The roads are perfect today, just so blasted cold outside. This morning it was colder here, 14 degrees, than it was in Boston, 34 degrees. What is up with that?

Well MIL comes today for Logan's party on Saturday (also reference posts below), which btw not one RSVP. HOW RUDE!! Oh well, he is so going to LOVE his bike! I can't wait to watch his eyes light up!

Lastly I just wanted to post a picture of my beautiful boys. This is their school picture and I am using it for our Christmas cards... ENJOY!

Shame on me...

I just finished off a bag of Ruffles... Let's just say, the bag was somewhat close to being empty... What is wrong with me? I have got to quit this eating bonanza. January better come quick or I am going to weigh more than a beached whale!

Well as of right now we have not had one kid RSVP to Logan's birthday party on Saturday. I handed out 33 invitations to his classmates. Gosh he is going to be so disappointed. Especially if his best friend Krista doesn't show. But maybe getting a bike will make it better!

Always something...

I woke up this morning with pink eye. AGAIN! I just had it two weekends ago, luckily I already had a dr appointment (my yearly YUCK) and he prescribed an antibiotic. Well the bad thing is I am wearing my glasses. These glasses have a precription that was about 5 years ago. I can't see worth crap!

Here is gripe number two. I went to the dr and I weigh 5 pounds more than I did six weeks after having Cole... What is up with that? I know I need to get motivated but man french fries taste too good. And Travis is no help, I think he likes me bigger, that is definately no help.

Finally, my boys are getting old... Cole is 7 months today! It has just flown by. Soon I am going to be taking him to college. Logan turns 3 next weekend! He has become such a big boy. Potty training is catching on and he just talks like a grown up. Soon he will be walking down the aisle to marry a beautiful girl.
