Floating away...

Or at least I should be. I have downed 70 oz of water today and feel like I could drink more. My mouth feels so dry and I feel so thirsty. My throat is scratchy so that could be the cause for the thirst. Too bad drinking this much water makes you have to go to the bathroom.

Not what I had imagined.

My interview was actually yesterday. The weather was really crummy last week so they rescheduled. I talked to the people, the woman whose job I would be taking and the CEO (or something like that). They asked me to tell them what I did in my current job, then told me what was expected of the job I was interviewing for. The whole time the CEO was eyebawling me like crazy. Maybe it was because I would have to be out in the public representing the company and he wanted to see if I would look ok. Who knows. After about 10 minutes he said ok thanks for your time. We will be having a second round of interviews next week where we will ask questions. What?!?! I took half a day off work for that? Whatever. I will let you know what happens.

Filled out an application

So after about 1 million resumes being sent online through every imaginable job resource, I filled out an application this morning for a Human Resource Assistant with a company in Grand Prairie. While there I also had to take a 12 minute test. You could skip around and answer however you liked. Many of the questions were no brainers, but mind you math has NEVER been my strong suit and especially when I can't use a calculator. I haven't had math since 11th grade which was over 10 years ago. I hope I did ok!

I also have an interview tomorrow for Ben E. Keith. The jobs sounds really interesting. I would be the Director of Public Relations/Consumer Awareness and Education Coordinator. (Say that 5 times) Well the funny thing is they asked for some writing samples that I have done for the media or press. I have never done one. But they also asked for any letters I may have written. Of course most of those are saved on a database being sent to students from my old employer. Who knew I should have printed them out for a portfolio. So I printed out every letter and presentation I have done since I started working here. I hope that works!
