Happy 7th Anniversary to me!

Wow 7 years already... How can that be?? Really Travis and I have been together for 9 years. All of my 20s... Time flies when you are having fun right?!?!

If you call spending Saturday night into Sunday morning in the ER fun than we are PARTY ANIMALS!!

So here is the story...

Cole wakes up around 11PM screaming and I ran into his room. He was saying his tummy was hurting. I tried to console him and it wouldn't work. Travis came in and tried to. We kept asking him if he needed to go potty and he kept saying no.

We took him into our room. We kept trying to get him on the potty. Finally Travis took him. And Cole is screaming I can't poopy. He brings him back to our room still screaming. He lays him on our bed and I notice something red on his belly. His belly button is as red as a clown's nose.

So are different parts around where his pull-up is. He has a horrible rash. I turn him over and he has a HUGE bite on his back. He is having an allergic reaction to some sort of bite (looked like a spider bite to me). I decide we better go to the ER because the rash is starting to spread.

We call Grandpa to come over and stay with Logan since he is asleep in the bed while we head to the hospital.

They get us taken back really quickly and the dr. is there just as fast. Cole was a little nervous about the bed this time as the last time he was "drowned due to sticking a roly poly up his nose the last time" on it he didn't really want to lay on it, but luckily all we had to do was lift his shirt for the dr. to see the rash and the bite and the dr. listened to his lungs, heart, stomach and looked in his ears and throat. All was good. Still no clue what bit him...

They gave him a strong dose of benadryl and steroids and we had to wait and see how those worked.

They did beautifully because the rash went away after an hour and we got to go home with a prescription for the steroids (which Cole says tastes BAD!) and to continue with benadryl. We get him and I shake out his bed and find nothing...

So there is our 2nd trip to the ER!

Yesterday we went to the softball game and a bee decided to land on Cole's hand and we both flipped out! Why do stinging insects like this boy???

So how are we spending our anniversary tonight. Broke because we paid an ER copay!

How scary! I would've been totally freaking out. Glad the benadryl worked, but sheesh!
