Not much to say...

I am EXHAUSTED!!! Last night Travis was up alot, he has a cold or something and every time he got up, he turned on a million lights and made a bunch of racket and it woke me up.

Tomorrow I am supposed to go to San Antonio, Houston and Austin for work and I don't want to. I would be gone Wednesday through Friday, I just don't want to have to do all that driving!

Hallelujah!

I am done shopping! Except for Travis but I know what I am getting him. This weekend got all the boys presents. That includes Logan's birthday bike! Oh I can't wait to give it to him, I just know his eyes are going to light up!

Thanksgiving was great for us. It was a much needed rest from the daily grind. We got our inside Christmas decorations hung. Our tree looks beautiful, I now have a window that faces the street and we put the tree in it and it looks great to passerbys! We tried to hang the outside lights and realized we didn't have enough strands, we went to everywhere looking for more strands and they no longer sale them. What a crock! We can't afford to buy all new lights this year, did it last year, so now we are having to come up with plan b... UGH!

Giving Thanks...

I know I have alot to be thankful for, although at times I sound like I am not thankful for anything, I truly am blest. So today I would like to list some of the things I am thankful for.

1. My children: Logan and Cole. God gave me the two most beautiful children in the whole world. He made them healthy and strong and gave them great personalities. Every day I thank God for choosing me to be their mom! Check them out at www.logan.aboutmybaby.com

2. My husband: Travis. Even though I gripe and complain he truly is a wonderful man. He treats me like I am wonderful and he is a wonderful father to my boys. God knew what he was doing putting Travis and I together. We are complete opposites that were made for each other.

3. My family: it is large so I am not naming everyone. I am thankful for their continued health and happiness. I am thankful that we all get along and that my boys know how much they are loved.

4. My health. I take this for granted. I know I should take better care of myself but I am thankful that right now it isn't something that has to take center stage.

Those are my four most important thanks. There are many more but I just wanted to highlight a few.

Seriously...

I talked to my mom like 5 times yesterday. She had the day off and decided to go shopping for Christmas. That is great right... Well she says yesterday was your dad and my anniversary. Oh my gosh. I totally forgot. In fact yesterday when I came in to work and put my lunch in the fridge I labeled it with the date of the 18th. Just a few day off right! Ha...

So I apologized for forgetting, she said it was no big deal. Then later in the day she calls and says I am going to be selfish. You need to call your brother and figure out a way the two of you are going to pay for our dinner on Wednesday night or how you are going to pay for your dad's dinner on Friday (it is his birthday). I start to get a little hot around the collar. I just mutter uh huh and we hang up.

I then call Travis to tell him what she just had the audacity to do and I get his voicemail. So fast forward to last night I retell the story to Travis because he didn't check his voicemail (figures). Well he gets super pissed! He says I distinctly remember no one even sending us a card, much less calling or taking us out to eat on our anniversary (in August). Which was true, and in August a few days after our anniversary my mom did call and I asked her what happened, she replies I was busy. Well you know what I am busy and poor and I am not buying your food! Travis said call them and tell them if they don't want to come, they don't have to, since it is all about them.

I have been guilting her anyway because she won't be able to come to Logan's birthday because she has class. (She is taking classes to become a massage therapist on top of teaching elementary school. She will retire from teaching in 5 years and being that she will only be 50 in April, she didn't want to be bored and decided to take on a hobby.)

I don't know I just feel like we can't catch a break, they know how broke we are right now and we bought all this stuff for the Thanksgiving meal so they wouldn't have to bring it when they make their 6 hour drive. I think that should be enough!

In other news... Logan did it again! That makes 3 times pooping in the potty... Man I really hope this is the start of something good!

WHY, WHY, WHY!?!?!?!

I don't know about you, but I think I am a pretty easy going person... BUT...

Not when I am told that not only am I having to go to the in laws house for Christmas, but MIL is coming for Logan's birthday as well! That is all fine and good, but I had decided to take Monday, December 12th off from work to have a me day. Well that ain't gonna happen! I will now be entertaining MIL and her parents. I am so pissed! The one time I as for the day off from work, it is spoiled! I was going to take Logan to the dr at 9am and I was going to go to the dentist at 1pm and then take cupcakes up to Logan's class at 3ish. All the time in between I was planning to sit on my couch, watch tv and not talk to anyone... Curses spoiled again!

Just thinking about it gets my heart racing and my temper flaring. Just once I want something to go my way and my way only. I just want to be selfish one time and have it work!

Gotta Love Ladies Night Out!

Who ever invented it is a genious!! I really enjoyed myself last night. I went with a group of ladies from my Sunday School. Funny thing was, I really didn't know them, they so weren't the group I thought would show up. Getting to know them was awesome. There were 3 women who had recently had babies, me being one of them, 2 ladies with no children, and 1 whos youngest was 2. Cole was the oldest of the new babies. The other two kiddos are 8 and 10 weeks. It was funny because the two new mommies were 10 years older than me and asking me questions like, did you drink when you were breastfeeding. They are older than me but asking mommy advice. Very cool!!

Well we found out yesterday that Travis can take the week of Christmas off from work, so we are headed to California to be with his family for Christmas. Very bitter sweet. I know that is where we need to be, but I am selfish and don't want to go. But we are going, at least we don't have to pay for the tickets to get there.

Still have no idea what we are getting Logan and for Christmas, has to be cheap and have to find a way to get to the store without them. We plan to get him a bike for his birthday Another concern of mine is, when are we going to buy it without our tag alongs?

Here goes my first ramble...

Logan poopied in the potty for the 2nd time! He did it at school! We are one step closer, I hope. Of course he came home pooped in his pull up after school and he had pooped this morning. Oh well... We celebrated by going to Chick-Fil-A!

I am really at a loss as to what to do about Christmas... I know in my heart we should go to Cali. Travis just doesn't want to think this could be his mom's last Christmas, but I just have this terrible feeling that it is. We all know it is his grandparents. Their health just keeps declining. It is now upto Travis to talk to his boss. He just needs to go in there and tell him the truth. But Travis is in denial and doesn't see that this could be the last Christmas. Come to think of it, I would probably be in denial too if my mom were sick. She is invincible RIGHT?!?!
